Poetry Judge 2020-2022

Some people grow up playing checkers, or the cello; Elizabeth Boquet grew up playing poetry with her mother and never stopped.  After her mother’s sudden death in 2010, Elizabeth began to share her poems with others.

On her website, you’ll find some of her award-winning poetry, as well as over thirty pieces that have been published in various literary journals and anthologies, including Crab Orchard Review, Pacific Review and Eclectica. Her first collection, Galoshes, was published in 2020.

Born and raised in New Hampshire, Elizabeth earned a BA from Goucher College, and an MA from Middlebury College – Paris X, and has lived in Spain, France, China and Switzerland. These days, she writes as a Swiss Belgian-American either in Lausanne, Switzerland, or in Pézenas, France.
